Low Maintenance Plans Equals Higher Goals Achieved

Every new year is a new beginning, and a new beginning means crossing off items from that goal list that's collected dust. Each moment that's gone by with at least one of those goals not being met, has deep down created sadness. The simplest solution is always the one avoided, since a subliminal mindset runs saying, “it's not that dang easy.”

The Low Maintenance Plan

The best way to start is polish up and dust off the list of goals. The goals could be a simple list of 100 items to do before a certain age, a five-year plan, or ten-year plan. (STEP ONE) If there has been no list of goals, write one out.

How in the world are all the miracles suppose to happen to get those goals met, if they are not written out? Writing is the best and oldest hand to eye motion for creating awareness and the “ah-ha, this is what I want to do. Universe bring it on!” If there is no writing, there is forgetting.

With the completed list (STEP TWO) read it everyday. Connecting with the goals and (STEP THREE) visualizing them taking place is important. The more visualization equals recognizing when the opportunity comes to say, “Yes! I will take my dream cruise to ...”. And luck has nothing to do with it. Always remember that if you have a goal, there is a way to achieve the goal.

After spending a moment to read the goals, or posting them to the refrigerator to see them every other week, (STEP FOUR) pick one of the goals off the list, (STEP FIVE) write out four action steps you can take within a time frame of one week, two weeks, or three weeks (do not go over 21 days – procrastination sets in deep) to work toward what you are visualizing for yourself.

What are some of the things that could be the next set of steps to start achieve all of the goals? Let's look at this example.

Perhaps there are classes you want to take because you know it will just diversify your home-based business. The challenge: the extra income to register for the classes just isn't there, and registration closes in six weeks. It's already known to pay upfront.

Action Step One: Get it through to yourself that “no” is not an option. How many times have opportunities been missed already because “No, I can't.” was the mantra repeating over and over again?GET A NEW MANTRA. Write an affirming statement, and carry that sucker with you. Read it every time that class comes up to mind. Statement example: “I don't know how, but I know I am to go to that class.”

Action Step Two: With your home-based business run a week or two long special on items. A basket of items sells great. Gift cards. Flea markets. Convention centers/shows. What is your niche? How much time are you willing to dedicate to generating the extra income, without breaking the bank?

Action Step Three: Success! At the market show, a table was only $10.00 and you ended up selling everything, making more than anticipated, plus you made new contacts!

Action Four: You purchase/reserve a seat for the classes the next business day, with extra time left on the calendar.

Breaking down action steps is wonderful, however, unless the mindset is on board with the goals and hard work, it becomes a chore. When things become a chore, little work, resentment, and self-doubt creep in sweeping away any chance of victory.

Thank you Lisa! Breaking the steps into 1, 2, 3, 4 and then going back to 1, 2, 3, 4 -- reminds me of sheet of music. I don't get too winded (lol) and I want to keep going. Blessings!
